I'll dominate 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to promote next month's boxing match.

Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, consistently making massive earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly happening.
